The Channel Eight 9pm show. You just cant let people like me who loves reading deeper into the plots watch man, cause it s flawful. yes, flawful. Okay, so its about this bride( Carol) who goes missing, on her trip to the toilet at Curtin Mall, which is obviously Parkway Parade. Okay thats not the point. Then Kexin, goes searching for the kidnapper or whatsoever, lah. And I found the whole script full of loopholes.
First,
In the show, Kexin told her colleagues, the CCTV at the carpark was spoilt intentionally two days before the "kidnap". Then the CIB members went on about how it most probably was very well planned; with the CCTV spoilt and the other CCTV in the mall kept out of the way of the Ladies toilet, at that particular floor. So smart man, and there it goes. FIRST THING, HOW WOULD THE "KIDNAPPER" KNOW THAT CAROL, WAS GOING TO CURTIN MALL? TWO DAYS LATER SOMEMORE. Okay, lah. Nevermind about that. BUT HOW WAS ANYONE GOING TO KNOW THAT CAROL WOULD USE THE TOILET BESIDE THE CARPARK, AT THAT PARTICULAR LEVEL? The thing is, logically speaking, the "kidnapper" would have waited a long time behind the toilets near the carpark, just for the girl to move away from her friend, and that would be his chance. But there was no way he would know that Carol would be using the toilet, right?
Second,
It seems in the show, that nowadays, the police officers take statements with their brains. You see in the show, that they ( people whose statements were to be taken) get to have idle chat with the police officers, and after that, they ask questions and remember them by heart. Wow, they must have done alot of Chinese Spelling Tests when they were younger. I mean, come on, the old shows, the police officers take statements by pen and paper. And a few years back, when I was in the police station, with the officer taking my statement, he did it on the laptop or computer, very meticulously.
Third,
The real stuff would never present to the eye witnesses with real people. Never, they do it via Black and White photographs, and they give at least ten to fifteen copies of different people. They wouldnt do such line ups immediately.
4th,
The line up was done pretty badly; four out of five were already ready there. Then the "suspect" comes in slowly, and puts on his stocking. ALAMAK, like that, who wouldnt know that the bigbig suspected suspect is the one last to come in?
Horrible, lah. I mean, if a little 16 year old like me was gonna be so bewildered by the show, ah, nevermind.
Im not going to watch this show. anymore.
