Spent the night of saturday and the morning of Sunday at Christabelle's house. Pretty amazing. How people stay up all night or morning you say, to watch 20 players chase a ball, 2 tall players trying to keep the ball out of the net whilst the rest try to put it in, with coaches with huge bellies(with the exception of marco van basten, jurgen klinsman, and the argentina coach) shouting as if there s no tomorrow. The assistants start penning down alot of things and hold their meetings under the small dug-out shelter. Hmms. Anyway, on the world cup. My beloved Eng ga land is out, on penalties against Portugal. Upsetting moment for me. True, Eng ga land havent played to their utmost potential, and they have been cruelly punished for that, but weep not my boys. Weep not, for more talents of tender age continue to storm in. See further than Beckham, and look out for Lennon. We will see triumph the next time, let's take Euro 2008. :D
Kudos to Portugal though.
Brasil is officially out. Probably one of the most ageing teams in the world cup. People fall to knees, jaws drop and tears drown the streets of Rio De Janeiro as Thierry Henry slid past the defence unmarked, and connected to the dead ball taken by Zizou as he walloped it into the net, past Dida. Astonishment. France cheer, roars erupt from paris as their hero, Theirry Henry, often dubbed the second best player in the world after Brasil's Ronaldinho scores. Minutes tick by, and Brasil continue to struggle. They didnt look anymore the defending champions they did against Ghana and Japan. They were struggling. Ze Roberto looked impressive no more. He was getting tired. Zidane showed wizardry skill mastery as he whisked past 1, 2, 3, 4 players and leave them in a heap behind him. He was going to show, the man he was at France 1998, where he was worshipped as God, and how terribly critics were at him at the group stages. He had something to show.
Ronaldo is not fat. Zidane is the king. McClaren would not make much difference to the current team as Eriksson did so why cull Eriksson? Critics ask too much. And let me be your critic of your critical comments on players. Boo.
:D I blogged. Ha. I realised how little it was about the day spent at Christabelle's house, and am getting a little lazy. But hmm. Enjoyable, heartbreaking, and unfair. Ha. Shall ride away for now. Tata and take care people.
