Recognise. He wore tatters and long pants that were torn beyond repair. Little patches of white could be seen, in between those unpatched patches in his shirt. His toes protrude that pair of worn out canvas. There were holes all over his materials, from head to toe. A biege cowboy hat that looked a little dirty lay on the ground, probably one he picked up from the dumps. Passer bys flipped pennies into it, without even giving him a glance. That scrawny figure looked up, with a wide warm smile. He cleared his throat and introduced to the crowd, " My name is Lucas, humble servant to audiences." Few clapped, most were giving pernickety stares at him; some in disgust of how this little man could ever find his way into this pretty place. And indeed, at first glance, it looked like this man was in a wrong place. He looked nothing more than a begger, and everyone around him wore pretty suits and beautiful ties. Even the grafitti done onto the walls by kids looked nicer. How was Lucas ever going to fit into the scene?Do we ever recognise anyone other than ourselves nowaday?
We are all so critical of everything now, perfection is unattainable, everything seems a lost cause once it doesn't reach our expectations.
