Deep in context, or actually superficial at comprehension?

Are what we learn in textbooks true, anyway? Or is it just stupid propaganda set by governments? We are supposedly having good bilateral relations with M'sia, which is total bullshit from what I see on television. Was channel hopping yesterday and landed on this msian talkshow(apparently a msian channel), two people were conversing and there was a picture of Minister Mentor LWY infront of a Singapore flag. I cudnt totally understand what they were talking about as it was in malay, but definitely, from the tone and postures, it wasnt anything friendly they said about our MM. We keep learning we share good ties with Msia, but what the hell, we dont see that. Bickerings over national newspapers and making a mountain outa molehill with something MM said during the recent IMF meetings, is that what good bilateral relations are supposed to mean? Frequent backstabbing by them, and maybe by us that we do not see. If they want to teach us about something, make sure it is true. Why are things done with the mentality "to make it look better/better impression" instead of just truth.

The recent documentary about Pluto being not a planet anymore. The reason they chose to rename it as a Dwarf planet, as mentioned in the documentary, was because it would "interfere with what the whole world was taught before this new discovery" mentality. They were afraid that school students would all be confused.
